Bowen & Groves to Develop an ERP System for Small-Medium Manufacturers Announced Today

Today Bowen & Groves announced that they have expanded the organisation to include a new software development division. M1 by B&G was launched today; M1 is an ERP system aimed at the small to medium manufacturer.

CEO of Bowen & Groves Pty Ltd, Geoff Groves made the announcement in a conference call with its customers today. He stated that "We plan for M1 to be a comprehensive product, where customers have a choice of a number of modules to suit their needs.

"We have spent an extensive amount of time designing M1 so M1 is fast and practical to use. Being able to create or modify the BOM at order entry and have a true multi level BOM are just two of the many key features we offer". Groves went on to say, "we are determined to design a scheduling system that people use and won't stop until we do. M1 will also be offered in an ASP environment later this year when the technology is available. Other unique features planned for MI include, being able to drag and drop multiple jobs at one time, a Point of Sale module, Kit Builder module and Configurator module". M1 has been designed with local knowledge and built with International experience, so it brings so many of the features that customers have been looking for.

"Data collection is a once off charge, so once you have this module, you can have an unlimited number of users. The purpose of this is that we believe data collection is one of the most valuable tools a company can have and we want to encourage our customers to have as many as they need."

The official launch of M1 will be at National Manufacturing Week at Darling Harbour in Sydney, April 11-14, 2000.
